Boxing stars have always been fan favorites in the pro-wrestling world. Mike Tyson famously had a role to play in the Wrestlemania match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. He later returned to RAW in 2010, knocking Chris Jericho out in the ring. The next big boxing name to come over to pro-wrestling may just be Tyson Fury.
The Two Time Heavyweight World Champion has always been dipping his toes in WWE. He notably beat Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in 2019, and has been rumored to join the WWE again.
The champ recently spoke about his potential WWE return.

Tyson Fury back in the WWE?
Fury had expressed interest in returning to pro-wrestling even before the interview. He had been booked to make an appearance at Wrestlemania 36, which fell through because of the pandemic. Since then, fans have speculated how Fury’s return may contribute to bigger storylines in the WWE.
One of those highly anticipated feuds is with the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. McIntyre has traded words and insults with many combat sportsmen, but Tyson Fury may be more notable than the rest. In a Twitter post, Fury acknowledged McIntyre’s challenge and pushed for the matchup to happen.

Strowman and Fury’s bout in Crown Jewel seemed underwhelming to a large number of fans. The fact that it was a count-out did not help the match become any more exciting. This new entry may be a chance for Fury to redeem himself, in the eyes of the WWE Universe.

Various boxing stars have crossed over successfully into the pro-wrestling space, so this move is not unprecedented. Fury, with his size and movement, might become a great rival to some of the heavy hitters in the WWE.
With the recent slump in ratings, the WWE seems to be looking into all corners to bring in views and attention. Signing Tyson Fury would definitely be a good move to bring some more excitement into WWE.
