

The Judge Undertaker sounds a bit odd, but that was the gimmick, Mark Calaway, used to play backstage during the Attitude and Ruthless Era. The Undertaker was regarded as a highly professional superstar by his fellow wrestlers. Taker was also feared by some wrestlers backstage and sometimes they had to face the wrath of ‘The Deadman’ in the court.
Many superstars of the Attitude Era confessed to being in the Wrestler’s court of the judge Undertaker. Taker himself confessed the court was held for the mischievous behavior of superstars on the road.

The R-rated superstar, Lita, who was well known for her relationship with Edge, also opened up about the Wrestler’s court. “Taker is not gender specific. Taker presided over all of us. We all answer to The Undertaker. And no, I was never taken to the court. I remember Miss Kity, and Lillian they always gave her a hard time.”

The Court was really a fun activity that the superstars used to do backstage. “There are weird rules that aren’t really rules in life but they are back there. And you don’t know them until you are in front of Undertaker trying to explain your case. Bradshaw was one of those two, he would preside over. But, I, fortunately, escaped the wrath (of Undertaker),” said Lita in a video by 2XtremeRKO.

The take of The Undertaker on the wrestler’s court
The Phenom also explained that the court was to keep the superstars in order and having fun meanwhile. He iterated, “You might get called out, you get embarrassed a little bit, but it’s then what is it you do it from there. I try to give some kind of advice if there was actually some kind of merit to what was happening. Anything you can do to kind of alleviate some of the stress and tension of the road. It was more times a night of good harmless fun.”
But sometimes, The Wrestler’s were more than just fun and games. It was also used to solve real-life feuds between superstars. According to WhatCulture Wrestling, Goldberg and Chris Jericho got into a fight. The superstars had old beef from the WCW, Triple H, who was the judge at that time, made Goldberg publicly apologize to Jericho.

The superstars are on the road for almost 300 days a year. Many superstars stated in their interviews about the hectic schedule of a pro wrestler and the work stress. An activity like the wrestler’s court would surely be a stress buster for the superstars.
