‘The Leader of Cenation’, also is a family man, and is currently married to Shay Shariatzadeh. However, prior to his marriage Cena was engaged to his former fiancee, Nikki Bella. Nevertheless, the couple had a fallout in 2018, leading to their eventual breakup.

Bella is currently married to Artem Chigvintsev, her former partner from the reality TV show, ‘Dancing with the stars’. Cena and the former Divas Champion got engaged back in April 2017, when the 16-time world champion proposed to her after their match at WrestleMania 33.

However, in 2018, the couple broke up after dating for almost 7 years. Bella recalled an awkward moment that transpired with his current husband during the shooting of the reality show. The incident was uncomfortable because during that time she was dating Cena.

What was Nikki Bella’s reaction to the whole incident?

Nikki Bella felt the entire incident was awkward since she was with her fiance John Cena during that time. The couple had been together for around six years then. She disclosed the exact moment that made her uncomfortable, Bella said during the shoot, Chigvintsev’s leg had to be between her two legs. She expressed, “Their leg had to be in between your leg. I remember it was the first time a man’s leg, other than my fiancé’s, was in between mine.”

Bella was not involved romantically with Chigvintsev during the shooting of the show. She stated it was weird having another man’s leg between her legs, which was not her husband’s(here, fiance). However, she overcame that moment, and performed her act with Chigvintsev, anyway.

However, after her fallout with Cena, she started dating the Russian dancer and later married him.

How did John Cena contribute to Nikki Bella’s life?

Nikki Bella was one of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE roster and held multiple titles throughout the course of her career. However, neck and back injuries compelled the 39-year-old to retire from wrestling.

 Nikki Bella had earlier revealed how much John Cena helped her in her career. She stated how Cena helped her reveal her fearless side. She claimed that the breakup did not mean that she wouldn’t thank people that deserved it and expressed her gratitude to Cena for all of his contributions.

Her sister Brie Bella would also show her gratitude to the 45-year-old John Cena. Cena would often give the twins pointers after their matches and played a big role in their careers. His experience helped him advise the rising stars reach their potential, and he did so with The Bella Twins.

However, The Bella Twins are currently retired, while Cena is weaving a significant career in Hollywood.
