Lately, it seems as though WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has been rubbing WWE Legends the wrong way. First, it was Lita and now, it’s Michelle McCool.

McCool took to social media to express that she has always been a SmackDown girl, and she feels it’s nothing short of destiny! Possible SmackDown return? Maybe.

But that’s not what the discussion is here. It’s when Charlotte Flair asked McCool to get in line, indicating Flair is the SmackDown girl now. However, Michelle isn’t ready to take Charlotte Flair’s attitude. McCool let The Queen know she hates waiting in lines and let Charlotte Flair assume the rest.

Michelle McCool is going to face Charlotte Flair at Royal Rumble 2022

McCool and Flair are going to enter the Royal Rumble Women’s Match along with 28 other women. If anyone apart from Flair wins, she gets to choose her WrestleMania opponent.

However, if Flair wins, she gets to choose her WrestleMania opponent. So far, Charlotte Flair has revealed she’s not going to choose Lita if she wins and it seems like she’s not going to pick McCool as well!

Now, the WWE Universe probably assumes Flair won’t choose a Legend as her opponent, considering they’ve got skills that could potentially dethrone her. On the other hand, Flair would like the WWE fans to believe that she’s not picking legends as her opponent because she wants to cut their return short.

The WWE Legends may not be returning for more than a night

Coming to one of the possible reasons behind the new feud between Flair and returning WWE Legends is that none of them are committing to a long-term return. Nikki Bella revealed that Royal Rumble is a PPV where WWE Superstars can return for one match and have a great time.

Therefore, it’s possible most of the former Superstars are returning for just one night and WWE isn’t writing a storyline where either of them are coming back for a long-term stint.

As a result, if Flair wins, she won’t be picking one of the former Divas Champions (as she has already claimed) to make the exits smoother. In the off chance that some of them have signed a contract that sees them in WWE for more than a night, WWE would whip up storylines later.
