Will you believe us if we say that WWE Legend The Undertaker is a free agent? We couldn’t at first either. Following the two-night WWE Draft, the DeadMan is without a clear cut brand, i.e. neither Raw nor SmackDown.

But there is nothing more to be read between the line. Even though The Phenom wants to be out there in the squared circle, his body won’t cooperate with his heart. Speaking to “ET Online”, The Phenom detailed his everlasting wish to be in the ring but stated that his ageing body would no longer comply.

“As of this moment, yeah, my days in the ring are done, and it’s not because I don’t want to be in the ring, I mean, that is where I’ve spent most of my adult life — my whole life, really,” Undertaker said. “More than half of my life has been spent in the wrestling or sports entertainment ring.

“So, in my mind, I still can see everything and, in my heart, you know, I want to be out there, but it’s just at a point where my body can’t deliver what my mind and my heart see. My body can’t deliver that and I just don’t want to cheapen the legacy of that character and I’d hate for people to pay money to see me work and be disappointed.”

We would expect nothing less from a man who delivers his absolute best in the ring every time. Throughout his career, he always looked to make the fans happy. No wonder he is a wrestling legend all around the globe.

Over the years, Taker had some of the most memorable matches in WWE, if not wrestling, history. Mark Calaway made the Undertaker persona feel so real that people actually believed he was immortal. Such was the dedication of Mark to keep the character a person of its own. It was one of the most protected gimmicks of all time. The legacy Taker left behind is unmatched and will live on forever.

The Phenom’s last few matches really showed how age has taken a toll on his body. Now Taker is more focused on his family, as he should be.
