The Undertaker has a long history of having great respect for sports, consequently, he avoided disclosing his personal life in the wrestling arena during his career. It wouldn’t be inaccurate to state that he has been the greatest servant of professional wrestling, especially of WWE. Without Taker, it would be difficult to imagine the success of WWE.

He not only helped WWE, but he also attracted many spectators to watch the pro wrestling matches. However, ‘The Deadman’ previously admitted that his parents were not really pleased with his choice to drop out of school since he had grown interested in pursuing a career in professional wrestling.

The Undertaker disappointed his parents after he left school for Wrestling

Taker recounted the specifics of his wrestling career and shared several anecdotes from his life in an interview with Michael Waddell on A Bone to Pick podcast. In the conversation, The Phenom revealed that his parents were unhappy that he dropped out of school to pursue his passion for wrestling.

He stated, “I didn’t have any real plan. I just knew that this is what I wanted to do. And I figure it out somehow. And it was tough, you know, I had the night that I had to sleep in my car. You know, everybody was so disappointed like my family, mom and dad were they were devastated.”

He added, “I remember telling them I’m on the phone call, I’m gonna leave school. And I’m in my senior year, right? — why are you leaving school? I said well, I’m gonna be a wrestler. It’s like, it was a long pause and he goes, you gonna what? I want to be a wrestler. Wait a minute, you gonna tell me that you’re gonna walk away from a full-ride scholarship to do what? Be a wrestler. Oh, God! That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”

Notably, Taker’s mother remarked in the latest documentary that she still feels that his choice of becoming a wrestler was a terrible mistake.

Taker didn’t take help from his parents

Furthermore, he claimed that after a few weeks, his parents contacted him to offer assistance; however, The Deadman refused since he knew they disapproved of what he was doing and refused to accept either money or assistance. However, it turned out that Taker made a very great choice since it earned him fame, fortune, and the kind of persona that admirers would never ever forget.
