Triple H’s entrance themes have always been exciting to listen to. In a WWE Behind The Theme video, legendary music composer Jim Johnston spoke about how he created HHH’s theme song.
He shared the story of Hunter’s ‘Blue Blood’ theme song during Hunter Hearst Helmsley days. Then, as Triple H went onto the main event scene, it was his time and reveals that is when he developed the ‘My Time’ theme song.
The best part is Jim wrote ‘The Game’ theme song in under 5 minutes and he made it only on three cords. He talks about how it was easy for him to write ‘Time to play The Game‘ theme song as it went very well with Triple H’s character on screen.
Jim Johnston wrote the song, and Motorhead performed it. It is a theme song that Triple H still continues to use it even to this day. Not just that, but Motorhead also performed more themes for Triple H, including ‘Line In The Sand’ (Evolution theme) and ‘King of Kings’ (The Authority theme).
Time To Play The Game!
Triple H’s theme song is one of the highly listened to WWE theme of all time. It’s such a perfect song that simply fits for Triple H, much like how Judas fits Chris Jericho. Not that ‘Break The Walls Down’ was bad by any means, but ‘Judas’ is on a different level altogether.
‘The Game’ last appeared on TV for his 25th anniversary celebration on Friday Night SmackDown. Since then, he is heavily focused on NXT, while managing the main roster shows too!
