Seth Rollins occupies the top spot in the prestige wrestling promotion as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Since his victory over AJ Styles at Night of Champions in 2023, his reign has been an impressive uphill battle. He successfully put down every wrestler that has tried to take the title away from him. However, at the upcoming Crown Jewel, certain gears are in motion that could lead to his reign being overthrown.
At Crown Jewel 2023, Rollins will face Drew McIntyre of The Judgment Day for the title. However, Money in the Bank holder Priest doesn’t mean to sit idly by. Especially if Rhea Ripley dons the role of the mastermind.

The build-up for the World Heavyweight Championship title match has been interesting. After a grueling feud with Shinsuke Nakamura, Rollins faced off against Priest and The Judgment Day. Gunning for his title, this is not his first encounter with the group.
Since winning the Money in the Bank briefcase on 2 July 2023 at the PLE, Priest has been waiting to cash in. This caused friction between him and teammate Finn Balor in the earlier months. However, Rhea Ripley was always there to square things out.

Ahead of Crown Jewel 2023, Ripley has worked hard in the background of Monday Night RAW. While forming an alliance with Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline, she has been seen with Rollins and his opponent, Drew McIntyre. Ripley has been getting close to McIntyre that even Rollins called him out.
However, the speculation is that this is all part of Ripley’s plan to overthrow Rollins. Priest still holds the MITB briefcase but has never successfully cashed in. At WWE Fastlane 2023, Priest wanted to cash in, but Ripley stopped him during a backstage segment. The wrestling community has speculated Ripley is distracting Rollins and McIntyre for the grand cash-in.

The insane build-up for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Over the past few weeks, McIntyre has showcased his tendency to remain as a lone wolf and showcasing an aggressive attitude. Feeling unappreciated for his work in the WWE, McIntyre challenged Rollins for the title on the October 9 episode of RAW. Following this, the two had an intense promo where they both reasoned why they were what they are today. McIntyre claimed he stepped up during the COVID-19 period when others did not.
Meanwhile, Rollins claimed that he rebuilt himself over and over again to be the title holder. The two are tense, and Ripley has been fueling the fire. Fans also speculate an interference by the Judgment Day at Crown Jewel.
