On the September 15 episode of SmackDown, The Rock came out during the Austin Theory and Pat McAfee confrontation. The Ball Arena in Denver went wild when the music hit, much to McAfee’s approval. What made this moment even better was that no one knew about The Rock’s return, making the reaction by the audience more authentic. After the show ended, a video of The Rock backstage before his music hit went viral.

This showed how The Great One was preparing to walk out on stage after his music hit. You can hear McAfee’s subtle intro before the music and the arena going wild. Prior to walking through the curtains, you can see The Rock smirk, hearing the fans cheer for him.

The video went viral, with fans talking about his return and what it could mean for Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. There were plans for The Rock to face Reigns at WrestleMania 39; however, due to bad storytelling, the match was dropped. Despite the storyline focusing on Jey Uso, The Rock said he was open to facing Reigns at WrestleMania 40 next year.

Despite his verbal clash with Austin Theory, this is not the feud fans are waiting to see The Rock in. Since Reigns turned heel and Jey Uso parted ways with The Bloodline, fans have been waiting for The Brahma Bull. According to reports, The Rock will help or be the one dethroning Reigns as the Head of the Table. Regardless of how the storyline moves forward, fans are ecstatic about Johnson’s return.

With Reigns being absent from WWE programs, an appearance from him would have made this an even more epic moment.
