Dwayne Johnson is one of the most popular superstars in the entire entertainment industry. And, it was evident from the clear results of how Black Adam performed at the box office despite the poor scores from the critics.

Black Adam was one of the most hyped films of 2022, and it has maintained the status of its hype by the box-office collection it gathered in its very first week itself. The film also introduced several other characters and also brought back one of DCEU’s beloved superhero in a cameo.

The movie collected $100 million in its first week and is still going strong. The film also stood as the #1 film in its second week and has the fans hyped up for its future. Prior to its release, Black Adam was stated to change the entire power hierarchy of the DCEU.

The film also introduced several brand-new characters, superheroes, and the JSA. Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to share, why the reason behind Black Adam’s success is so special. He wrote how Black Adam is the only film to have Teth Adam and JSA together on the same screen.

He further stated how prior to this movie, his character was not so popular as the other DC superheroes. The Rock stated that the movie is the No.1 movie for the second week in a row, and that is special.

The film is also stated to have a powerful cameo from one of DCEU’s major star.

Will there be a direct sequel to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam?

Black Adam ended on an open note, with a lot left for the future. The film ended on a note where the fans were left desiring as to what would come next. During the end credits scene of the film, Black Adam met his match. He faced off against one of DCEU’s strongest heroes.

It raised the questions of a future battle between the two, and finding out who is the strongest among them. However, DCEU has already lined up several upcoming films for the next two years. And, it is very unlikely that a direct sequel to Black Adam would release anytime soon.

However, Harim Garcia, one of the Black Adam producers, said in an interview with Comicbook.com, “It’s not going to take that long. I can promise you that…We’ll get cooking on it fast, that’s for sure.” And, if those words are to be believed, fans might not have to wait much longer to see Adam back in action.
