Whenever the name Dwayne Johnson pops up somewhere, it’s hard to construct the thought of what the rest of the conversation is about. It could be a lot of things because there is hardly anything that this former WWE superstar can’t do. Johnson had made his mark everywhere, from a sports person to the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. But is it the right time for The Rock to be a politician? This WWE veteran thinks so.
It wouldn’t be a poor sight to see The Rock running for the presidential elections. Johnson’s NBC sitcom Young Rock also indicated that the former WWE superstar might be running for the POTUS election in the future. Former WWE commentator and booker Jim Cornette stated on his podcast why Dwayne Johnson would be the perfect candidate for President.

The speculations began when Johnson came in support of the Democratic party on Twitter in 2020 while Trump was still president. The Rock received a lot of hatred for his Tweet and people even tried to cancel Dwayne Johnson.
A couple of days later, WWE veteran Jim Cornette came in to support Rock on his podcast. “Well, the last thing that I want to do is get too vitriolic on this subject.[…] I actually saw people on Twitter ‘now what do we expect from a member of the Hollywood elite’. Like the rock is yeah, he’s an elite Hollywood star.”
As a political independent & centrist, I’ve voted for both parties in the past. In this critical presidential election, I’m endorsing @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris.
Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, KINDNESS & RESPECT.

“But The Rock, half Samoan, half black 27 or seven dollars in his pocket when he became a wrestler. And he was sleeping on a mattress that he got out of a dumpster. Rock has worked for everything he got worked and overworked. I don’t know how the guy slept for the last 20 years,” said Cornette.

The Rock clarified in his Tweet that he voted for Republicans and Democrats. Cornette complemented Johnson’s statement and advised that the former WWE superstar should be a politician. “The Rock should be an elected politician because he shows that he stands up for what he believes in instead of towing a party line.”
“And it also shows how far gone some of these suckers and rubes are out in the fields in the hinterlands that now they’re gonna turn on The Rock because he wants to relieve the United States.”

Jim Cornette continued to praise The Rock and even compared him with Trump. “If anybody thinks that he’s born with a silver spoon in his mouth or just was handed everything that he has ever had, such as the current occupant of the white house (Donald Trump) was,” Cornette stated that Johnson can reach the heights of success in his career despite the initial challenges in his life, unlike Donald Trump.
