It’s been a long time since the WWE universe has seen “The Most Electrifying Man in the Sports Entertainment” in the ring. Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock is certainly the biggest superstar that has come out of the WWE. However, he hasn’t appeared in WWE in a while. The 10-time World Champion has finally made a suggestion that he will be making a comeback.
On October 4, 2019, The Rock made his last WWE appearance on SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary edition. Notably, he and Becky Lynch overcame Happy Corbin during his visit as Corbin attempted to overthrow them.

However, it now seems as though he will face Lynch rather than teaming up with her when he returns to the ring. During a recent live chat with Becky “The Man” Lynch and former WWE writer, Brian Gewirtz, The Rock proposed an idea about making a comeback.
The Instagram live was really intriguing, and it began with Lynch discussing the Gewirtz book. Nevertheless, it gained traction after The Rock said, “ROCK & BRIAN VS SETH & BECKY AT MANIA! BOOK THAT S**T!”
Lynch said she was ready to face The Rock as soon as she saw the message. “Alright, I’m down!” she said. The Rock is a legendary wrestler, so Lynch and Seth Rollins understandably became thrilled about the prospect of competing against him at WrestleMania. Considering The Rock’s enormous fan base.

Although there have been long-running rumors that his cousin, Roman Reigns, will be his opponent at WrestleMania 39.

According to reports from February 2022, WWE has already planned the major main-event status bout between Roman Reigns and The Rock for the following year. Fans want to see The Tribal Chief vs. The Rock battle after Reigns made a comeback as The Tribal Chief. WWE and Reigns hinted at The Rock’s comeback throughout the full year of 2021, but sadly it never happened.

Subsequently, everyone is looking forward to the main event of WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, as a result of the Stone Cold Steve Austin making a comeback to WrestleMania 38.
One thing is certain: The Rock will probably make a comeback at WrestleMania 39. Notably, it is reported that he will be free in the first quarter of the next year. However, it will be interesting to see who he faces in his comeback bout.
