‘The Rock is a Huge Punk’: The Undertaker Left John Cena Stunned Over Dwayne Johnson Comments

The Undertaker is one of the best wrestlers under the WWE brand. And aptly, they booked him against wrestlers on the same level. In his 30 years of wrestling, The Undertaker fought with wrestlers from every generation from the ’90s to the 2010s. Making him the only wrestler to go toe to toe with everyone from Hulk Hogan to Roman Reigns.

So it comes as no surprise that he was there when a budding Rocky Maivia, John Cena, and Seth Rollins were in their first storylines. And one of these, John Cena, had one of the funniest backstage segments during the Undertaker’s American bada** moment.

The Undertaker calls The Rock a ‘punk’ and scares away John Cena

20 years ago, The Undertaker entered riding his iconic bike, and The Rock was THE STAR of WWE. On a random episode of the July 9, 2002, edition of SmackDown, Vince McMahon would book John Cena and The Undertaker against Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho.

And as the newbie, John Cena went to the veteran to show his gratitude. The Undertaker unexpectedly said, “Have you ever met The Rock? Let me tell you something about The Rock. He’s a huge punk and when he gets here tonight, I’m gonna show The Rock exactly what I do to punk like him.”

Cena was taken aback by The Undertaker’s outburst and did not know how to react. The Undertaker eventually asked him to leave after berating him.

And like a good kid in summer camp, Cena obediently left the area and went back to the locker room. But the Undertaker paid for his arrogance later when Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle showed up after and did a 2-on-1 beat down on the Deadman.
