‘The Rock Gets Pedicures and I Don’t’: WWE Legend, Who Was Raised on a Farm, Ridiculed Dwayne Johnson for His Routine

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most famous celebrities in the world. Having made his name in WWE, he has found great success as an actor in Hollywood. The lifestyle change has also been a huge aspect of The Rock’s movie career. Being in Hollywood requires you to maintain your appearance and have certain routines. And a WWE legend once made fun of one peculiar routine of The Rock.

When The Rock was on his way out of WWE, the company placed a rising star to take his place at the top. That guy was none other than ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar. Lesnar rose to stardom quickly and won the WWE Championship in his first year with the company.

In fact, Lesnar defeated The Rock at SummerSlam in 2002 to capture the top prize. A few years ago, he talked about ‘The Brahma Bull’ and answered a few questions, including who would win a street fight between the two.

Lesnar revealed Dwayne Johnson asked him to appear in his movies

For years, WWE relied on The Rock and his drawing power, as he was the face of the company. However, in 2002, DJ opted to move into Hollywood full-time to try his luck, which left an open spot at the top of WWE. Brock Lesnar, who WWE marketed as ‘The Next Big Thing’, then took over the main guy after his SummerSlam win over ‘The Great One’. That victory also made Lesnar the youngest WWE Champion in history.

Despite Lesnar’s rise to popularity and worldwide fame, he has always tried to remain away from the spotlight. In fact, he prefers to live on a farm in Saskatchewan, Western Canada, in the middle of nowhere. The former UFC Champion also grew up on a farm in Webster, S.D.

This is in sharp contrast to The Rock’s current lifestyle in the limelight of Hollywood. He bought a $27 million mansion in Beverly Hills and indulges in an extravagant life, befitting a celebrity of his status.

In 2019, in an interview with Rod Pederson, Lesnar talked about his early life, growing up on a farm, and his relationship with WWE and UFC. Pederson also asked Lesnar who would win in a street fight between him and Dwayne Johnson. On this, ‘The Conqueror’ scoffed and said they are good friends.

He further added that The Rock has asked him to appear in his movies, but the deal is that The Rock always has to win their fights and that is why Lesnar has always said no. Moreover, the former Universal Champion took a hilarious dig at one DJ’s routine. He remarked that, “The difference between us is that he gets pedicures and I don’t.”

Indeed, there is a stark contrast between the lives of these two WWE legends. One lives amidst the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, while the other enjoys his life away from the noise. As such, their personal lives are also quite different.
