Matt Riddle has been among the very few examples of switching to NXT from WWE’s main roster. The multi-talented former UFC fighter previously got fired due to marijuana use in 2013. As all the fans know, smoking habits had also been a part of his WWE on-screen personality. The controversy didn’t seem to leave him here. In the wake of the Speaking Out movement in 2020, fellow female wrestler Candy Cartwright brought an assault allegation against him. Despite admitting to having an affair, Riddle denied the allegation. Things have been left unsolved later.
