A lot of hearts were broken when The Miz unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at TLC in a Championship match which Drew McIntyre ended up winning.

Distraught with regret, Miz has been in ‘Miz’ery ever since the night. Unable to accept his loss, he has been one inconsolable Superstar. His loss on the latest episode of Raw added to that pain.

However, ‘The Awesome One’ received a late Christmas gift, and it was surely worth the wait. Following his loss on Raw tonight, The Miz was seen moping the staircase with John Morrison.

Post that, Adam Pearce came out of nowhere with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The backstage manager then informed Miz that as much as he’d like to attack him with the briefcase, he had just come to hand it over!

Unable to believe the moment, Miz and Morrison were jaw-dropped and busted a few moves after Pearce left. The two were back to normal and the former WWE Champion can resume plotting against Drew McIntyre.

The Miz won back his contract through a big loophole

So why did The Miz get his Money in the Banks briefcase back? The reason is nothing less than a classic loophole.

If you recall correctly, at TLC, John Morrison cashed in the briefcase rather than his partner. As per the rule, only the holder of the briefcase can cash it in.

Therefore, the cash-in technically never happened which makes Miz Mr. Money in the Bank again. ‘The Awesome One’ had tried to appeal to the same reason again but had seemingly failed until Adam Pearce showed up to light up the end of the year for him.

Just when it seemed that McIntyre’s only problem was his shoulder, his biggest adversary is back in full force. Since Miz can cash in his briefcase at any time, the WWE Champion will have to watch his back carefully.
