The WWE Universe is aware of how frustrated Brock Lesnar was about the traveling schedule of the company in his first run. This hectic schedule had made The Beast Incarnate decide to leave the business overall for a while.

The last match Lesnar had before leaving was against Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania 20. Lesnar claims his leaving WWE created a strain in the relationship between him and Vince McMahon. However, The Beast states this all began because of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Brock Lesnar, in his autobiography, Death Clutch, has talked about leaving WWE. The former UFC fighter claims that Kurt Angle was the reason Vince McMahon made him lose the WWE Title against Eddie Guerrero.

Lesnar says, “Believing I could trust Kurt, I told him I was thinking of getting out of the business. I didn’t tell anyone else, and he said he wouldn’t either. But soon after I confided in him, I became convinced that Vince knew I was planning to leave.”

The Beast thinks he and Angle had a different bond backstage. They both rose to the top in amateur wrestling and were real athletes, true competitors. That is why Lesnar shared most of his thoughts with Angle the most. However, the longest reigned Universal Champion thought The Olympic Hero wanted his position in WWE.

How Brock Lesnar found that Kurt Angle might have told his secret to Vince McMahon

Brock Lesnar shared his decision of leaving WWE with Kurt Angle. Surprisingly, as per Lesnar, Vince McMahon was acting different after he told Angle about his decision. The Beast claims Angle secretly told Mr. McMahon about this. He has narrated in his book why he thinks the same.

He said, “At the time, Kurt and I were traveling together, and I was already thinking something was up with him just from the way he was acting. Then, one day, I went out to move the rental car, and saw Kurt’s cell phone on the seat next to me. I opened it up, and the last call made was to Vince McMahon.”

They used to travel together and looking at the last phone call of Angle, Lesnar got a million questions. He knew this doesn’t prove that Angle had told Mr. McMahon, but from that day forward Lesnar didn’t say anything to the Gold Medalist. He kept quiet until the very last and told Mr. McMahon a few days before WrestleMania 20 about leaving WWE.
