Kane is one of the greatest Royal Rumble participants of all time. The Big Red Machine has never won the Rumble or headlined WrestleMania, but he surely holds numerous Rumble records.
In 2001, Kane set the record for most eliminations in a single match with 11. He tossed out Raven, Al Snow, Perry Saturn, Grandmaster Sexay, Steve Blackman, the Honky Tonk Man, Tazz, Albert, Crash Holly, Scotty 2 Hotty and The Rock.
He would get tossed out by eventual winner Stone Cold Steve Austin and lasted a whopping 53 minutes.
Kane holds the record for the most overall eliminations in Rumble match history with 45. To eliminate so many people, the Big Red Machine had to enter a record twenty Rumbles in his two decade-long career.
His last appearance was in 2021, and he added two eliminations to his name.
Kane has spent a cumulative time of three hours, 19 minutes and 40 seconds in Rumble matches. Only Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Edge rank higher than him in this category, and all the aforementioned names are Rumble winners, except Jericho.
One record Kane does not get credit for is eliminating six superstars in a row. In the 2001 Rumble, he tossed out Raven, Al Snow, Perry Saturn, Grandmaster Sexay, Steve Blackman, and the Honky Tonk Man in quick succession.
Do these records still stand?
Two men have broken Kane’s record for the most eliminations in a Rumble match. In 2014, Roman Reigns eliminated twelve superstars to break the impressive thirteen-year record.
Unfortunately, Reigns’ record would be broken by his bitterest rival Brock Lesnar in 2020. Lesnar may have also snapped Kane’s record of the most successive eliminations after he tossed out thirteen participants in a row.
