Stone Cold Steve Austin was widely known as the baddest man in WWE during his time as a top star. He lived up to his ‘Stone Cold’ character, who oozed out a no-nonsense vibe with his very gestures and attitude. But it seems like the outer tough persona lies about his real self beyond the popular gimmick.
His ‘Stone Cold’ exterior can also break sometimes with the softer sides of life. That’s what happened with Austin when he shared his guilt for an unwanted mishap he had with the Hollywood actor and director Sylvester Stallone while filming for the movie ‘The Expendables’ back in 2010.

Apart from being an iconic WWE superstar, Austin had a run in Hollywood as well. In fact, he unwantedly caused a hairline fracture on Stallone’s neck while filming a fighting scene together in ‘ ‘The Expendables’. It was so serious that the Rocky star had to undergo surgery afterward.
During the Hollywood premiere of the movie in the same year, Austin appeared in a one-to-one interview with the Independent.ie The veteran WWE star noted, “I’ve told him I was sorry a hundred times already. I don’t know if he’s forgiven me or not, I didn’t want to hurt anybody but I ended up breaking Sly’s neck in a fight scene, I never knew I’d broken his neck until a few months later when he had it fixed, I don’t know if he drinks beer – the guy’s a fitness fanatic – but I’ll sure buy him a beer if he wants one!
Referring to the off-screen bond he shared with Stallone, Austin added, ‘I’d never met Sly before, but it was like talking to an old friend. We had a lot of common ground. When he got behind the camera that was the cool thing for me, that’s when you get to see the artistic Sly which I never knew existed.”
However, speaking of Austin, he has a lesser chance to be ever back in the squared circle again.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s potential WrestleMania appearance
Following his WrestleMania 38 appearance last year, there has been massive speculation among fans of having Austin back in the ring at this year’s Mania as well. But it doesn’t seem to be the case as the veteran ruled out a return saying there hasn’t been any such plan.
Though reports suggest that the star declined WWE’s offer because of some money-related issue. But Austin himself believes he is done with wrestling for good. While the six-time WWE World Champion cherishes his relationship with the sport and the Stamford-based company as well, he made it very clear that his days have gone and he doesn’t regret it at all as he has done everything he could during his heyday.
