The boiling rivalry ended in a tranquil settlement. After months of going back and forth, Cody Rhodes finally managed to tame ‘The Beast’ in a thrilling rubber match at SummerSlam tonight. The American Nightmare crossed a mountain of fatal F5s to have the last laugh. That said, Brock Lesnar proved to be the real unsung hero of the night with his actions at the end of the bout.

To everyone’s awe, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ went off-script to exchange a handshake and a warm, friendly hug with his victorious opponent. ‘The American Nightmare’ readily reciprocated the gesture, putting the feud to rest. It’s a well-documented truth that fans love to hate Brock Lesnar. The cold-hearted WWE giant added fuel to the fire after launching a vicious attack on Cody Rhodes at Raw after WrestleMania. Fans slammed him multiple times in the recent past regarding how he manhandled Rhodes. But after tonight’s bout, WWE’s Chief Content Officer gave him his token of approval, making up for all the hate he received.

After the PLE, Triple H sat for the routine post-event press conference and voiced his thoughts and perspectives regarding a number of wrestling concerns. Addressing one of the stellar shows of the SummerSlam, the Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar rubber match, the WWE creative head noted, ”Brock Lesnar is a unique athlete, human being and all those things but he really, I believe doesn’t get the credit he should for being one of the all-time greats at this, right?”

”Unbelievable athlete at the highest of levels, UFC. You can make the argument. Would be accurate. The greatest combat athlete of all time. But talking about sports entertainment, just this, in my opinion, one of the greatest of all time. Because his style is different, the way he does it, it’s different from anybody else, truly really is a generational talent for this,’, he continued heaping more and more praise on ‘The Beast’.

Now, how Triple H will pitch the next big story for the standout talent of his promotion? Let’s dive deeper.

What’s next for Brock Lesnar?

The Beast was involved in a very rare occurrence at the recent SummerSlam event. But that doesn’t mean he won’t pry into anyone’s business from now on. Although his mess with Cody Rhodes is over, given that he himself cooled the air between them after the final installment of their heated encounter, a new rivalry might be next on Lesnar’s card. After all, you never know when and where The Beast could appear.

There are a handful of superstars who might be in The Beast’s crosshairs very soon. Lesnar has always shown a tendency for attacking the most popular faces in WWE. The sensational talent, LA Knight, might catch his eye. A feud with him will give Lesnar the pleasure of going against another fan favorite.

He can also rekindle his old rivalry with Seth Rollins, being enticed by the glory of his World Heavyweight Championship belt. It seems more possible as ‘The Visionary’ currently needs an opponent to proceed with.

There are many other potential directions for Lesnar if we look more deeply into the scenario. But we better wait a bit for picking up the current momentum of his status in the promotion before making more assumptions.
