Pioneering path of High Chief Peter Maivia

The patriarch of the family is Peter Maivia, a Samoan wrestler who had a successful career in the 1960s and 1970s. Maivia, known as “High Chief,” paved the way for future generations of the Anoa’i family in professional wrestling.

He was renowned for his charisma, strength, and technical abilities, and became one of the most beloved figures in the wrestling world.

Rocky Johnson: A link to Hollywood and wrestling stardom

One of Peter Maivia’s daughters, Ata Maivia, married the iconic wrestler Rocky Johnson and eventually have their son, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Yokozuna: The Samoan Sumo Sensation

Sikoa marked his WWE Clash at the Castle debut after almost a year in NXT. Furthermore, he helped Roman Reigns secure victory over Drew McIntyre in the main event. He would later join the Bloodline and become a member of the SmackDown roster.

Ava: The Great One’s Daughter; The Schism member

Ava Raine, WWE’s first-ever fourth-generation wrestler, is currently part of the NXT roster. She’s the daughter of WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, following in the footsteps of her wrestling lineage. Additionally, Simone faced a tough choice during her parents’ 2008 divorce but chose to stay with her father. This helped to maintain a good relationship with her mother. Initially in modeling, she joined WWE in February 2020, becoming the first fourth-generation wrestler and one of the youngest talents to sign with the company.

Ava made her TV debut on the October 25, 2022, episode of NXT, as part of Joe Gacy’s faction, Schism, initially using the ring name “Ava Raine.” Later she shortened it to “Ava” on the February 14, 2023, episode. Her in-ring debut took place on April 1, 2023, at the Stand & Deliver event with Schism, followed by her first NXT victory against Ivy Nile on the June 6, 2023, episode.
