Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is finally out in the theaters. However, the ratings don’t go alike with the hype the movie created. Suffering from low ratings from the very first day, Black Adam has now fallen even lower in the charts.
It started with 54% on Rotten Tomatoes, however; it has now reached 39%. Critics have been bashing the film left and right and often criticizing it for its action sequences and sometimes cringy acting. However, fans on the other hand have been loving the film, and more so because of a surprising cameo.

As soon as the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes went down, fans were quick to take notice of that. They took to Twitter to make their concerns known, and some even started with memes. Nevertheless, the thread on Twitter was absolutely hilarious.
One side is the critics, who have taken Black Adam down to 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, whereas, the fans on the other side have maintained a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes, by praising everything that the film has to offer.
The gap between the critics and the fans just gets wider and wider. #BlackAdam pic.twitter.com/ysChqpptWU

The considerable gap between these two is getting even wider. One fan wrote that if the same movie had been produced by Marvel, then the situation would have been different.
If this exact same movie had the MCU intro and logo slapped on it instead of DC, the critic score would match the audience score. Let’s be real…

Because the Audience can enjoy things for what they are, critics only hate things for what they are not
— PWarren4 (@PWarren4) October 23, 2022
Critics watching it based off writing, characters, plots, and overall story =/= hating it.
Threres a difference between hating something and objectively judging it. Problem with you lot is that you base your opinion off enjoyment which is subjective

I enjoyed it. I wasn't looking for an Oscar worthy performance, but I enjoyed the action & liked all of the additional DC super heros (especially the after credit scene…eeeeee!!!!!) who were part of this story.
My 7 year-old loved it. Critics can suck it.

For once the audience got it right, I really enjoyed Black Adam… for what it is

This is exactly why I don't trust movie critics anymore. They're so out of touch with the rest of the world.

Critics are NEVER gonna be onboard with comic book movies.

It’s like Venom. It may not be a great film, but it is fun as fuuuuck
— 🏳️🌈The Spideo🏳️🌈 (@TheSpideo) October 24, 2022
Exactly we don't go on the theaters to pick every mistake in the movie.
— Reza Sarwar (@rezasarwar2) October 24, 2022
I think a lot of it comes down to it being a great popcorn flick but not a great art piece. Critics judge everything through the latter and audiences are just happy to get the former.

Critics always hating

Critics are not reliable anymore, honestly i loved the movie so much that i am gonna watch it 3rd time

While the film failed to win the critic’s hearts, it definitely has won the fans. Fans on the internet are going crazy and are even viewing the film multiple times. They have proved their love and passion for their favorite anti-hero and comic books, in spite of the constant criticism from the critics.
Dwayne Johnson shows his gratitude to fans for their love
As Black Adam is currently balancing on a rough scale with the disparity in reviews, Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to show his gratitude toward his fans, who went and watched the film. He claimed how much the 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes means to him, and how hard he worked for the film for 15 years.
This phenomenal 90% AUDIENCE SCORE for #BlackAdam is so gratifying for so many reasons.
15 years
THANK YOU for all so much for all the love and support 🙏🏾🌎🖤
In the end, the only thing that matters to me is sending the people home happy.
And that’s what I’ll always fight for.
