CM Punk had a controversial departure from WWE in 2014 and even in AEW, he had to leave the ring because of an injury. Not only fans, but several pro-wrestlers also want him to come back. And they got hope as AEW star Dax Harwood disclosed a personal conversation with CM Punk.

In the latest episode of his podcast ‘FTR with Dax Harwood’, the AEW star expressed his wish of bringing CM Punk back into Tony Khan’s company. Harwood also mentioned that he talked to Punk and revealed that Punk misses wrestling and wants to return to the ring and entertain the fans just like always.
Talking about CM Punk, Harwood said, “I talk to Punk almost every day, and Punk misses wrestling, that’s your headline. Punk misses wrestling, and Punk wants to come back. And he wants to give back to the fans, he wants to get back to wrestling. So I’ll leave it at that.”
Not only this, but the AEW star also called CM Punk the biggest name in professional wrestling after Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Earlier in the podcast, Harwood called Punk the biggest name in the professional wrestling world after Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. And when it comes to AEW, Harwood didn’t hesitate to call Punk the biggest name of the company.
“I will say this, the reason I’m fantasy booking that……is because outside of Roman Reigns and you please correct me if I’m wrong, outside of Roman Reigns and maybe…….Cody Rhodes, the biggest name in professional wrestling right now is CM Punk. Right? Definitely the biggest name in AEW.”

Harwood further mentioned that the best way to take AEW to the next level is to bring CM punk back and give fans what they want.
“If we want to take AEW to the next level…….the way you do that is you take the biggest star that you have, and one of the biggest stars in the world, and you put them on the card, and you make money with them.”, Harwood added.
There is no doubt that wrestling fans are missing Punk. Even during the promo of Blackpool Combat Club at AEW Dynamite, fans kept on cheering his name.

However, AEW has not yet announced anything about CM Punk’s return. Sensing the hype around his name, it would be interesting to see if Tony Khan thinks about bringing Punk back.
