WWE has already unified the Universal Title and WWE Championship into an undisputed WWE Universal Championship during WrestleMania 38 with Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar in the main event. Now there are rumors in the air that the Women’s titles might see the same thing soon. With that context, the current SmackDown Champion Charlotte Flair spoke her mind about a possible unification of Women’s titles on RAW and SmackDown.

It seems that arguably the most successful woman in the recent history of WWE is against the idea for a very good reason. While speaking to Daytona Beach News-Journal, the 14-time WWE Women’s champion explained, “I don’t recommend a unification program because I feel that would mean fewer opportunities for the women. It was cool for one of the girls to have both titles at one time, but it takes a lot of spots away”

Ever since Flair’s views of being against the unification of Women’s titles became common knowledge, fans can’t help but appreciate ‘The Queen’ for her concern about women’s opportunities in the sport. Some fans usually label the veteran star as someone greedy and selfish for being in the title picture every time. But this time they were full of praise for her.

Most of the fans recognized Charlotte’s praise-worthy stance in favor of other fellow women wrestlers.

Some of them reflected on how the unification of titles will affect the division in general, discarding many from their deserved spotlight. Some also think that even the men’s titles should split up again too in order to bring back a healthy competitive vibe.

Bianca Belair once wanted to have Women’s titles unified

Previously, Bianca Belair voiced her opinion in support of unifying the Women’s Championships. The self-proclaimed EST of WWE made it very clear that despite holding the Raw Women’s Champion Title, she is very much up for achieving the other one, too. Although a unification match may not happen, at least in the immediate future, Belair still wants a WrestleMania main event match with Charlotte at some time down the line.

WWE executed the idea of separate titles following the brand split in 2016. Becky Lynch became the first one to hold both titles after clinching victory in WrestleMania 35 in 2019. But her reign didn’t last long and Charlotte came into the picture to take the SmackDown title away from her shortly afterward.
