John Cena has recently been rocking it at Hollywood. He has given several back-to-back hits to WWE and Hollywood fans. He even made a major big announcement where he let all the fans know he will be taking part in the 10th edition of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movie franchise. This got the fans as excited as they could get. However, the news just doesn’t stop at Hollywood when it comes to The Prototype. The pro wrestler likes to make his return to WWE time and again, but the news centered around him never stops. Recently, a WWE Hall of Fame has made speculation regarding the popular youth sensation.

The speculation is not just like any other. While speculating an alternate course of history, WWE Hall of Fame Eric Bischoff has compared Cena with the legendary Hulk Hogan. Although the former wrestler is currently healing from surgery, ‘Hollywood’ Hogan does not have to get ready for a fight against the young wrestler. The comparison made is of a different kind.
John Cena vs Hulk Hogan
Cena entered the WWE in 2002 as a ‘Babyface’. However, he was made to switch to a ‘heel’ by the end of the year. This switch was not officially a ‘heel turn’ as the pro wrestler was still settling into the promotion and this turn of his did not make much of a difference. However, he did make a return to being a ‘Babyface’ back in 2005 after winning the world championship. If hypothetically Cena had turned heel, would he have had the same impact on people that Bischoff precisely analyzed?

According to the analysis, “I think it would have been on the same level, in many aspects, I think in terms of the television audience and the reaction to it and the impact that it could have had on business going forward,” said the Hall of Famer. But while talking about it, he did mention the financial as well as cultural differences that could’ve been there.
The differences that John Cena would’ve brought against Hulk Hogan
The popular manager said that even though the younger wrestler could’ve had a similar impact overall as Hulk Hogan, it could differ in some ways. For example, financially, Cena could have proven much more beneficial for the promotion. This is because of how developed the marketing was by the time he made his debut.

However, culturally, there wasn’t any way that The Prototype could’ve found his way through. Hulk Hogan had different generations cheering for him. “When Hulk Hogan turned heel, I saw adults crying, that’s profound,” said the wrestler while justifying what he meant to say.
