Even after hanging up his boots, Hulk Hogan is in great shape for a 69-year-old person. Soon to turn 70 years old in August of this year, The Hulkster has maintained his physique by working out regularly. The WWE Hall of Famer tries not to miss going to the gym and revealed his motivation for staying in shape even after in-ring retirement.

In 2014, The Immortal One appeared for an interview on HuffPost Live with the manager and longtime friend Jimmy Hart. The host shared a fan question asking how Hogan maintains himself like he was in 1985.

The Hulkster said, “Yeah, it’s tough man. I’m 60 years young and at the end of the day, Willie Nelson said something to me many, many years ago, which now makes sense. If you slow down, you go down. That’s why Jimmy Hart’s at the gym every day and I got him on that regime.”

He added, “I train all the time and at the end of the day if I miss two or three workouts…..stuff hurts. So you know at the end of the when you’re getting up there around 60, you gotta push it harder than ever. I mean, that’s our deal man, you gotta stay in the game.”

The host further tried to share how Willie Nelson tries to overcome pain. Hogan replied, “What are you gonna do?….. Sit around and do nothing…….. what are you gonna do? What’s this thing about retirement? What would I do if I retired at 65? Do nothing. I mean, at 65 years old, I’m still traveling around (and) coming here bothering you man.”
