Jon Moxley is arguably one of the most popular wrestlers in the entire wrestling industry. Moxley made his presence known in WWE as Dean Ambrose. However, after some creative disputes, he would leave the company in 2019 and joined AEW.
Currently, one of the biggest names on the AEW roster, Moxley has a habit of engaging in hardcore and bloodied matches. He is infamous for cutting open himself frequently during his matches and lying in a pool of blood.

Recently, WWE legend Booker-T voiced his opinion on Moxley’s tendencies of getting busted open. He would compare Moxley with one of the greats in pro wrestling. However, this comparison would not come in terms of wrestling ability but another infamous factor.
Booker-T disclosed the example of Terry Funk and compare Moxley with the 78-year-old. Funk also had the tendency to cut himself and Moxley follows a similar path as well. The 5-time World Heavyweight Champion would make the infamous comparison due to their similar mentality.
What did Booker-T say while comparing Jon Moxley with Terry Funk?
Terry Funk is a wrestling legend and is best known for his hardcore gimmick and matches. Widely known for his time in ECW, where he regularly performed in some of the most gruesome and gory hardcore matches of all time.
He last appeared in WWE at WrestleMania before Moxley, then known as Dean Ambrose’s hardcore match against Brock Lesnar. He would present Ambrose with a chainsaw in the buildup to the fight against Lesnar. However, it would be the last of his appearances, and he is yet to appear in WWE after that.

The 58-year-old repeatedly claimed that Moxley might be on the path of creating a legacy of his own, and this might be his legacy. He defended Moxley’s style and claimed, “Maybe that’s not for you, but maybe a lot of people like it. Maybe that’s his niche.”
Moxley is currently in a faction with Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli, and the group is named Blackpool Combat Club. They are currently in a feud with The Dark Order.
Moxley, Danielson, and Castagnoli are all former WWE superstars and are currently enjoying a good run in AEW. With their current run and form, it does not seem that they would be returning to WWE anytime soon.
