Once a wrestler enters the world of pro wrestling, it opens many doors for them. Wrestling promotions like WWE provide certainty to an athlete for overnight fame. But everything comes at a cost. The journey an individual has to go through to reach the main roster is hard. And what’s more difficult is to keep the work-life balance while traveling constantly on the road for shows.

Many superstars have previously stated that they have to manage their own travel and other expenses while traveling. Some even leave the promotion for the same reason. But it looks like gradually things are getting better. However, The Undertaker once praised Vince McMahon for treating WWE superstars in the right manner.

In a 2019 interview with Ed Young, Taker talked about how difficult his journey had been for the past 3 decades in WWE. “Over the last 28 years, I’d say, conservatively, I’ve had 15, 16, 17 surgeries. I’ve had both my eye sockets crushed. I’ve been set on fire, uh, that was not fun, I’ve torn a pec, torn biceps.”

In his career, Taker has been injured many times, and it had taken a toll on his body. The life of a pro wrestler is not easy. But Vince McMahon knew how to take care of his wrestlers according to The Undertaker.

The Undertaker credited Vince McMahon for the betterment of WWE

Mark Calaway further concluded that the system had improved in course of time. “Now we have trainers and doctors that travel with us. We’re on the same care level and the way we’re treated as Major League Baseball, the NFL, but that’s just been the progression of our industry, and obviously, that’s a huge pat on the back to Vince.”

The Undertaker compared the treatment of the WWE superstars with NFL and MLB players, which was a huge compliment to Vince McMahon. In the last 40 years, McMahon shaped the pro wrestling business like no other promoter.

Vince McMahon has now retired from the company and has been replaced by Triple H. But The Game has made sure that McMahon’s absence shouldn’t affect the business.
