McIntyre wants to focus on ‘the right here right now’
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, McIntyre talked about the speculations regarding his departure from WWE. He said, “I mean, I keep reading the internet myself. I just saw something earlier. The internet keeps talking about my future, I guess.” He further added, “ But my focus is on the here and now like I don’t look to the future, I don’t look to the past, I look to the present.” implying that he is focusing on his current run at WWE.

Rumors about the 38-year-old star leaving WWE again started brewing after he was pulled back from his appearance on SmackDown in April of 2023. Since then, the rumors have spread like wildfire. However, another report has provided a sigh of relief to his fans.
Positive update emerges on McIntyre’s WWE future
The latest news about McIntyre’s WWE contract, from PW Insider Elite, states that he will be with WWE until around April 2024. This means he’ll be around for WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. The time he took off earlier this year has been added to his current contract. But right now, WWE is busy with their merger plans with Endeavor and UFC. So, there’s no talk about extending McIntyre’s contract at the moment.
