Being a WWE legend puts Dwayne Johnson on the radar of several new talents in the pro wrestling business. After being away for a long time The Rock made his return to WWE on SmackDown last month and confronted Austin Theory. So, it is given that Theory wants to grab the great opportunity of slaying The Rock before anybody else gets the chance to. Even in a recent interview, Theory revealed how confident he is for a match.

Not only The Rock, but the young star wants to take on Pat McAfee as well in a tag team match even if it comes up ‘tomorrow’.

The 51-year-old’s wrestling tenure isn’t typically known for a lot of ‘tag’ matches. However, he is still familiar with the experience. Keeping this in mind, Theory was asked about whether competing in an official match against The Rock and Pat McAfee would be a dream match he and Grayson Waller would consider. The former United States Champion gave an interesting reply.

During WWE’s The Bump, Theory was asked about whether he and Waller would like to face off against Johnson and McAfee in a dream tag team match if they get proper ‘preparation’ time.

To this, the young wrestler’s first said, “We could do that tomorrow. We don’t need preparation.” Then, he went on to display his confidence by saying, “We clearly know, The Rock, he might have a little gas in the tank but the little Pat McAfee, I mean, he’s just eating hamburgers and french fries, so we’ll just kick him in the stomach and he’s done. That’ll be quick, it’ll be easy.

Since this was discussed on ‘The Bump’, there is a small chance that this ‘dream’ match might come true in the near future.

Let’s explore the possibility of how this part of the interview can be a tease to the actual upcoming match between the four WWE personalities.

Since the multiple-time WWE Champion hasn’t wrestled in a long time competing in a tag team match to brush off any ring rust could be ideal. And the earliest we can think of would be Elimination Chamber 2024, which will be held in Grayson Waller’s home country, Australia. With such a big overseas PLE, WWE might bring back The Rock for a match that will no doubt serve the excitement of the fans.
