The Undertaker is among those superstars who played a crucial role in making WWE the number one company in the professional wrestling industry. He is one of the most popular characters in the industry for his horror and supernatural-themed gimmick in WWE. 

Throughout his professional wrestling career, ‘The Deadman’ remained silent about his personal life. But, now that he has retired, he is coming forward and voluntarily giving fans a glimpse of his personal life. And, recently he did the same when he went sneaker shopping with ‘Complex’.

The Deadman went sneaker shopping

While shopping, The Undertaker shared his sneakerhead moment with the host. He said that he bought a pair of Adidas that were too big for him. His mother denied buying one, so he ended up spending his birthday money on it.

While talking to the host, the undertaker said, “I guess that was my… uh you know that was my sneakerhead moment. Back in the day, Adidas came out we’re talking 40 years ago… but they came out right and I’m just like wow man I gotta get those right I’m you know at the time I think I was a 12 maybe a 12 and a half…..It’s very hard to walk into a sneaker store and find a pair of 15s that you like…… it’s just it doesn’t really happen but there they were…. man…. I was like man those are nice and you know and I remember my mom saying you’re Mark you’re 12….. you’re 12 and a half but um you know so I spent all this birthday money that I had.”

He even mentioned that the shoes were too big for him and that he wasn’t able to wear them for two years.

“They end up sitting in my closet for another two years before I could actually wear them but you know I did end up getting my money’s worth out of them but that was that big moment ….like man I’ve got to have those yeah.”

The Undertaker’s legacy in WWE

‘The Deadman’ started his career in WWE in 1990. He is mainly popular for his undefeated WrestleMania streak. The Undertaker remained undefeated in WrestleMania for three decades until the former WWE champion Brock Lesnar pinned him at WrestleMania XXX and broke his streak at 31-1.

In June 2020, ‘The Deadman’ announced his retirement from the professional wrestling industry. Later, in 2022, WWE inducted The Undertaker into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

Throughout his wrestling career, The Undertaker was popular as a silent superstar who rarely got involved in any real life drama. But now that he has said goodbye to professional wrestling. He never hesitates to share stuff from his personal life.

Last time the WWE Universe saw The Undertaker was on January 23, 2023, during the 30th anniversary of the red brand Raw. He appeared in the ‘American Badass’ gimmick and shared some words with Bray Wyatt

However, no one could have imagined this side of The Deadman. But seeing him breaking the character and exploring the things he loves after retiring from professional wrestling, fans seem quite happy.
