“That Door Is Always Open” – Former Tag Partner of the Bella Twins Teases Return to WWE With a “Dark Persona”

Fans have seen several WWE stars leave the promotion over the years. Some of these stars have had an ‘on and off’ relationship with WWE. The Bella Twins’ old partner is on that list somewhere. The Twins also had a complicated relationship with the company but they kept appearing for different WWE events during their last few years in the promotion.

As their contract has now expired in 2023, an old tag team partner of theirs looks forward to her return. Eva Marie joined WWE’s main roster all the way back in 2013. She was seen last time inside the squared circle in 2021.

Marie teases a WWE return

The female wrestler has left the promotion on more than one occasion. However, Marie misses wrestling for WWE and she made sure to publicize her feelings. Currently, the former WWE star is following different interests and hobbies. One of them is her quite popular YouTube channel.

On her YouTube channel, ‘Natalie Eva Marie’, she posts videos almost every week. In the latest addition, she teased her WWE return.

In the video, the wrestler shed light on the biggest rumor concerning herself and said, “The talks of me coming back to WWE, it’s one of those things where, I know you guys want a yes or no answer, the truth is, it’s maybe.” 

While she acknowledges that her fans must be growing impatient, Marie also doesn’t want to promise something she can’t fulfill.

However, to tease the return even more, the former wrestler revealed that she is continuously in talks with WWE. “That door is always open of potentially coming back,” added the ex-WWE star. Even when the female wrestler had returned earlier, WWE had big plans for her. So, in case the tease comes true, fans could expect something similar for her.

Marie’s WWE past is in sync with her present

Eva Marie became a part of the main roster in May 2013. In the same year, she was introduced as a part of the reality show, ‘Total Divas’. After a three-month absence later that year, Marie returned to WWE in 2014. The former star also developed a villainous persona at that point in her career.

She regained that persona in 2014 after coming back to WWE. In fact, in the recent YouTube video she posted, she talked about returning to her old heel character.

“Who knows, Eva Marie could come back as a dark persona, dye my hair back to black. You never know,” said the former star, regarding her possible return. While that will be an interesting change of persona, it remains to be seen how the fans receive her on a possible return to the squared circle.
