“Thank You”, “Take Care”: Disappointing Health Update on Mickie James Breaks Fans’ Hearts as She Takes a Step Away From Pro Wrestling

We know of Mickie James as a resilient wrestler who has been a part of this pro wrestling world for a good time. While leaving her footprints on several promotions, James has reconsidered her retirement numerous times. However, now it seems that the definitive end of her wrestling career is near. 

Wrestling fans who follow the five-time Impact Knockouts World Champion are familiar with her stints with career-threatening injuries. She is reportedly dealing with broken ribs, a slight shoulder tear, and possibly a torn pectoral muscle. But keeping her past records in mind, it is still uncertain if the champion will be able to compete at Rebellion PPV on Sunday, April 16. However, before people can encounter what happens at the event, the star herself teased about her retirement. 

Mickie James hints at impending retirement

Taking to Twitter, a few hours back, the former WWE Divas Champion updated her profile picture. As soon as the fans got a glimpse of the not-so-clear picture, it disappointed them heavily. Even though in the picture, one cannot see James clearly, the Impact Knockouts World Championship title along with her iconic hat are crystal clear. 

Seeing the championship belt and her hat lying in the ring while a silhouette of her walking away, one can judge that the star is considering retirement once again. Some fans are still in a dilemma as James’ retirement has been the source of speculation several times. In between all of that, earlier this year, she also challenged Sasha Banks to fight with her. It is clear the legendary wrestler has the mentality to compete but she has to listen to her body in order to take care of her health.

Even though there’s nothing official as of yet, fans are left disheartened looking at the picture.

The eleven-time Women’s World Champion between WWE and Impact has shaken up all her fans with her social media update. It might just be a picture for the star, but for her fans, it meant and reciprocated a lot. Since they encountered the picture, the fans showered their love for the star despite being on the receiving end of dismal news.

Not only did they thank her for her magnificent wrestling career, but also wished her well for her health. Fans want their favorite wrestler to recover as soon as possible. 

Many of them expressed their sadness as well. 

A fan even feels that after all that she gave to her fans, it’s time for James to relax. 

Despite seeing the picture indicating her retirement, some fans are hopeful that the star opts to come back soon.

Although James left fans in a dilemma, it would be fascinating for all to see if the champion gets cleared to wrestle again. However, fans can also witness a passing of the torch moment as the star has played her part.
