On Raw after WrestleMania 39, Brock Lesnar pretended to join hands with Cody Rhodes to take on the team of Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Before the main event match on the April 3 edition of Monday Night Raw started, The Conqueror went rogue and mauled The American Nightmare.
This led to the beginning of the rivalry between the two stars. For weeks, Rhodes tried to get his hands on Lesnar, but to no avail. Finally, he got to settle scores when he defeated him at Backlash on May 6. The loss made The Beast Incarnate very upset. He took out his frustration on his rival this week on RAW.

The latest edition of Monday Night Raw saw The Conqueror attack The American Nightmare. It happened during a triple-threat match between Rhodes, The Miz, and Finn Balor. The match was to determine who would advance to the next level in the tournament to win the brand-new World Heavyweight Championship.
Rhodes was just about to pick up the victory by pinning The A-lister. But Lesnar rendered his attempt unsuccessful by dragging him out of the ring. He delivered an F5 and also put him through the announce table. He then challenged Rhodes to a fight at WWE Night of Champions on 27 May 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Backlash saw the two rivals collide in the main event. Before the match began, Rhodes attacked his opponent brutally. But soon after the match started, the latter gained momentum and took his opponent on a ride to his Suplex city.
However, tables turned around when The Beast accidentally hit an exposed turnbuckle. This led him to bleed profusely. Taking advantage of the moment, Rhodes quickly rolled his opponent up and managed to put down his shoulder on the match until the referee counted to three. Thus, he won the match.
But on RAW, Lesnar once again decimated Rhodes, and it thrilled quite a few fans. The reason for fan excitement is that they get to see this feud prolonged and it also means Rhodes stays away from the World Heavyweight title picture for now.

Oh hell yeah! Thank the wrestling gods for Brock Lesnar saving us from Cody Rhodes becoming champ at Night of Champions. The former AEW co-founder will never be "the man" in WWE, no matter how hard he tries. #WWERaw

I saw it coming and I’m still happy about it. Keeping Cody away from the new title with this Lesnar feud is a great idea.

Great story telling, glad they didn’t roll with Cody and the world title, he gotta continue the road to the undisputed championship. Great promo by Brock, werent able to see all those years how good Brock could be on his own.

Well, by the looks of it, certainly fans are happy that Lesnar got his payback after his unexpected loss at Backlash last Saturday. Interestingly the last time Lesnar lost a non-title match was against Goldberg in 2016 Survivor Serious.
This means The American Nightmare broke an almost seven-year-old streak when he pinned The Beast Incarnate. How do you feel about Lesnar attacking Rhodes on Monday? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box.
