Since she joined NXT in 2013, Bayley has always been a babyface. She was loved and adored by the fans. Despite being pegged as a wrestler who could never have a successful heel run, October 2020 saw a different Bayley. She had a new attitude and persona and didn’t hold back on insulting people, whether in the audience or online.

Recently, she did it again by leaving her signature comment on a social media post that was savage. This is a message for social media accounts not to try to predict her future.

One of the recent announcements from the WWE was a scheduled match between Bayley and Charlotte Flair and Bayley. While fans were excited for the match, one social media account decided to make a match prediction on who would win. This is common with fan pages, but unfortunately, this post came under the vision of Bayley.

On X, the social media page of CrispyWrestling posted the announcement of Flair vs Bayley with the caption, “We all know what’s happening sadly.” This hinted that the page didn’t believe Bayley could win. The hint was evident, while the page didn’t announce who they thought could win. They were leaning heavily towards Flair picking up the win.

Taking to her X account, Bayley left a savage reply to the post. She commented, “Can you please tell me so I can prepare, idiot.” This hilariously savage response to the post aligns with her persona on screen. As a heel, she is known to insult her fellow wrestlers and fans in the audience. This persona is what fans love about her new character.

With the formation of Damage CTRL at SummerSlam 2022, she took her heel persona to the next level. With Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, she dominated the women’s division and kept her negative attitude towards fans and fell wrestlers consistent.

The best heel turn in the women’s division

As mentioned earlier, Bayley was considered one of those wrestlers who could not have a proper heel run. While being over with the fans and the love and admiration of the young fans, turning her heel could’ve ended in disaster. While talking with Newsweek.com, Bayley outlined what made her transition from a babyface to a heel. She lost to Flair at the 2020 Hell in The Cell match, which was the final straw. “And I knew I couldn’t come back to being the same Bayley,” she said.

She compared her run to that of John Cena, who never turned a heel. Bayley said she wanted to avoid doing the same gimmick until she left. “I had this John Cena little-kid run where, no, you’re going to be the same forever,” she added. This is where she got the idea to transform into a negative character and change up her gimmick. In retrospect, this revitalized her character and made fans love her even more as a heel.
