The match between John Cena and Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel ’23 got a bit emotional for fans. This was due to the closing speech that the commentators gave for Cena and the wrestler’s later social media activity, suggesting that it was perhaps his last WWE match. However, his performance wouldn’t only be remembered by the wrestling fans, but by the whole Anoa’i family.

Jacob Fatu confessed in a recent interview that he was watching the PLE live as it was going on in Saudi Arabia. Although he supported Sikoa’s victory, Fatu couldn’t get over the performance that the WWE legend put on that night.

During his run as a wrestler, John Cena wrestled with several big names. Many of them were part of the Anoa’i family. So, battling against Solo Sikoa in the squared circle was a historic moment in The Cenation Leader’s wrestling run. This fact alone almost made Jacob Fatu tear up.

Talking to Muscle Man Malcolm recently, Jacob Fatu was asked about whether he watched his cousin’s match against John Cena at Crown Jewel. Not only did Fatu confirm his viewership of the match, but he also had something heartwarming to say about Cena.

The Samoan wrestler started by saying, “So, for him and Solo to tap in, and what he did for Solo, and what Solo did, it was awesome.” He further added, “Once again, this is my family. We’re all like this [crosses his fingers], locked in. It felt good. Damn near brought tears to my eyes. It’s the business that we love to do.

Even though it was easy for the audience to point out the parts they liked about John Cena’s in-ring performance, the legendary wrestler had to deal with the loss first-hand. However, after a few days of silence, he opened up about ‘failure’ in life.

John Cena dealt with his Crown Jewel failure wisely

After the wrestler was done with the PLE, several speculations were coming in about his potential wrestling retirement. Although Cena hasn’t verbally confirmed his retirement as of yet, he did talk about the failure that he recently received. However, his wise words can be applied in all spheres of life.

In a tweet a few days after his Crown Jewel defeat, the Hollywood superstar said, “Every failure is painfully beautiful. It shines light on the path forward and provides wisdom on traveling that path.”
