WWE NXT star Tony D’Angelo is suffering from the same fate as Dominik Mysterio, as he serves time in the clink. Except, Dominik was in prison only for a couple of hours. Yet, Dom Dom extended his support to the kayfabe arrested NXT star who has been locked up for three weeks. Taking to Twitter, Dominik sent words of encouragement to D’Angelo, speaking from ‘experience’. And fans are having a whale of a time making jokes. 

During an edition of NXT on May 24, Tony D’Angelo was interrogated by an on-screen detective. In an ongoing storyline, the NXT star was a suspect at a crime scene. Given that D’Angelo is a history sheeter, the police left no stone unturned to confirm his involvement in a crime. When the officer pulled up footage from the crime scene and asked D’Angelo to confirm his identity, the 28-year-old star denied that it was him.

After a while, another officer entered the room and D’Angelo was apprehended.

Last year’s Christmas didn’t quite turn out to be what Dominik expected. After Dominik made a stink at his father, Rey Mysterio’s house, ruining Christmas, he was kayfabe arrested by the cops. However, his release followed only a few hours later. But, Dominik boasted about surviving the few hours of horrors in prison. 

Taking to Twitter, Dominik stated, “Only the strong survive”, giving hope to Tony D’Angelo. The fans immediately drew parallels between the two story arcs. Here are some hilarious reactions from the fans. 

Who better than Dominik to know that prison is not a game? It’s the survival of the fittest.

Well, although it is a bitter pill to swallow, Dominik did get spanked by his father at WrestleMania.

In Dominik’s defense, he would have handled prison life way better had he served more time.

Well, there’s that! At this point, we will have to wait and see how long D’Angelo will stay in prison. However, with Dominik Mysterio extending his support, it will be interesting to see the duo join hands in the future.

Last week on Raw, Cody Rhodes obliterated Dominik on the mic by calling him his father’s “mistake”. The words from Cody Rhodes struck a nerve with Dominik as he delivered a hard slap across Cody Rhodes’ face. However, The American Nightmare failed to retaliate as Rhea Ripley safeguarded Dom Dom.

During the latest edition of Raw, Cody Rhodes came out to issue a challenge to Dominik at the upcoming Premium Live Event, Money in the Bank. While Dominik hesitated, Rhea Ripley accepted the challenge for him. Meanwhile, a distraction from The Miz allowed Dominik to attack Cody Rhodes once again and run for cover.

We will have to wait and see what happens when Cody Rhodes finally gets his hands on Dominik at MITB. Although Dominik is the underdog, his “Mami” is his equalizer.
