While siblings share a unique connection, twins share an even more extraordinary bond. The Usos stepped into the world of WWE in 2009 and they have been inseparable ever since. Jimmy and Jey Uso have chosen to pursue a career as tag team competitors, while many other members of the Anoa’i family have become legendary singles competitors.

In a recent interview, Ariel Helwani asked them why they couldn’t be a singles competitor in WWE just like countless other members of their Samoan family. Jimmy Uso gave a sad reason for this. Let’s dive deep and find out what he had to say.

The Usos sat down for an interview on Ariel Meets ahead of The Bloodline Civil War with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank. During the interview, Jimmy revealed why he and his twin brother, Jey, could never have a singles career like many other members of their legendary Anoa’i family.

He said, “Oh man, look at us. We’re twins. Right off the bat, that’s the first thing you notice about us, right? So you automatically associate twins with teams and brothers like that’s just what we are. And I remember coming in like… I just remember coming in just hearing like the tag teams aren’t really looked at as like the top tier, the top act of you know WWE.”

The twin brother feels that the tag team division of WWE doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. They want to bring honor to the division and that’s why for the past fourteen years; they have been working nonstop to accomplish that.

Plus, they also believe that them being twins, people expect them to fight and work as a team rather than as individuals. If The Usos love working as a team, then who are we to question their choice, right? They have been together from the beginning and they will remain together till the end.

A perfect example to corroborate this statement would be when the twin brothers chose to stick together in their fight against ‘The Head of the Table’.

Jimmy and Jey Usos’ bond is unbreakable

Before The Bloodline Civil War, Reigns and Paul Heyman tried their best to convince Jey to abandon Jimmy and join their team. Jimmy had chosen to rebel against the injustice being done by ‘The Tribal Chief’. For weeks, Jey found himself torn between the two sides.

Despite the dilemma, Jey had to pick a side, and he chose his twin brother. This infuriated ‘The Big Dog’, thus setting up The Bloodline Civil War at Money in the Bank in which The Usos won fair and square. This indicates that no matter what, the twin bond between Jimmy and Jey is super strong and no external force can break it.

The former Undisputed Tag Team Champions won their battle at MITB but received a brutal fate on SmackDown after that. On the 7 July edition of the blue brand, The Usos held a Tribal Court against Reigns to hold him accountable for his cruelty and injustice.

But minutes later, into the segment, a melee broke out in the middle of the ring. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and Sikoa were the ones who got the last laugh as they decimated The Usos. Later, the fans caught a glimpse of Jimmy being stretchered to the hospital.
