Last year, out of nowhere Vince McMahon gave a massive main roster push to Austin Theory. At that time, fans were of dual opinions regarding Theory getting this massive opportunity.

However, after Vinnie-Mac retired, his push slowed down. But after the recent Survivor Series, it is safe to say things are back on track for the new United States Champion.

The co-main event at the Survivor series was between Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Austin Theory for the US Title. Many thought Theory did not have a chance to win, as he had lost his Money in the Bank cash in a few weeks prior for the same title.

Surprisingly enough, Theory got the better of his opponents to lift the championship belt. However, after the match in an interview with BT Sports WWE, he aspired to win the world title.

Vince McMahon’s Protégé said, “It’s as wild as it has been for everybody else.You go from being so used to something to a quick switch and pretty much that quick switch changes everything. But for a good way, I feel like, because for me it was a chance for Austin Theory to evolve and go to that next level. “

He added, “And, you know, I can’t take selfies forever and be a goofball. So it’s like finding that next chapter and what’s going to get me to becoming a world champion. And I think we’re on the right track.”

After renovating himself, Theory is aiming for the world championship now. He has got all the fans behind him with massive support for his push. Moreover, after pinning Seth Rollins, his stakes have surely risen in WWE even though he lost his MITB cash in a few weeks ago in an open challenge for the US Title.

Throwback to Vince McMahon coming out to congratulate Austin Theory’s first US Title win

As per reports, the ‘A-Town star’ is a personally chosen WWE superstar of Vince McMahon, who could be the face of the company. Thus, he got a huge push last year after McMahon paired Theory with him on screen.

McMahon’s protege got a mega push as he was a part of the Elimination Chamber this year and later had a WrestleMania match. At the grandest stage, he faced Pat McAfee in a losing effort, but the next day on RAW his luck changed.

He started a feud with Finn Balor, who was the US champion. However, a week later Theory pinned the first-ever Universal Champion on RAW to win the US Title. Furthermore, Mr. McMahon himself came out to congratulate him and clicked some selfies too.

The current US Champion also won the Money in the Bank briefcase this year after entering as a surprise entrant. Theory tried to cash-in on Roman Reigns and also had a small feud with Brock Lesnar while attempting to cashing in.
