Brock Lesnar was originally supposed to be in the Universal Championship Match against Roman Reigns
When the WWE Day 1 match card was finalized, the main-event was a one-on-one match between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Beast. Unfortunately, The Tribal Chief tested COVID-19 positive and had to back out of the PPV.

However, WWE wanted Brock Lesnar to be a part of the event and converted the Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Championship into Fatal 5-Way. Since Lesnar is a free agent, it’s much easier for him to switch brands.
Brock Lesnar entered the ring alongside Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Big E. Anyone could have pinned anyone for the victory. The Beast secured the victory after he pinned Big E, and became the new WWE Champion.
Now, the question is – is the feud between The Beast and Roman Reigns over?

If Lesnar moves over to WWE Raw, possibly yes since Roman Reigns works under WWE SmackDown. On the other hand, when Reigns returns to the ring, Lesnar and he could pick up where they left off. But, this time, they’re both champions.
For now, it’s unknown exactly how WWE wants to proceed with the situation.

Nevertheless, there is a high possibility the company will try to give closure to the WWE Universe regarding the Reigns-Lesnar feud.
