SummerSlam 2020 has been a great show so far. A major talking point was the match between Seth Rollins and Dominik Mysterio. While the feud was personal, there were some additional Easter eggs you may have missed.

Seth Rollins entered the arena sporting very conspicuous colors. He has never really sported purple in this fashion. There was also something about the design that looked oddly familiar.

Looking deeper into it, you will find that Rey Mysterio wore the same design at Halloween Havoc – way back in 1997 against Eddie Guerrero!

The fight was a Cruiserweight Championship vs Mask Match. This was a defining moment in the Mysterio’s career as he managed to defeat Eddie Guerrero.

This was definitely what was on the mind of “The Monday Night Messiah” as he put his mind games to play. The costume was obviously sentimental for Mysterio and seeing Rollins dawn the very same colors may have struck a nerve.

On the other corner of the ring, Dominik Mysterio also sported a unique colorway. Turns out that this one also has special significance and meaning.

Apparently, the hood on his costume was a tribute to the mask of Rey Mysterio. This also signifies that Dominik may take on the mantle of Mysterio over the next few months.

Seth Rollins is the best at mind games

Dominik’s attire had such a beautiful meaning to it, that it became an even bigger heartburn for Rey Mysterio when he watched Rollins humiliate his son in front of his own eyes, wearing his iconic costume design!

The one thing you can expect from Rollins is to always take the mind games over the limit. The mocking and utter disrespect define his character.

The fact that he wore Rey Mysterio’s famous costume also signifies that he has no respect for Mysterio’s achievements in WWE, and wore it purely to instigate his opponent.

Seth Rollins is obviously a master of his art. For “The Monday Night Messiah,” the psychological war must always be won first.
