The moment finally came as Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan, two of the women’s division’s strongest and most formidable wrestlers, faced one another at the biggest party of the summer. Morgan had earlier succeeded in winning her well-deserving first title after winning and cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Following that, Rowdy shook Morgan’s hand and acknowledged her victory.

However, the two got involved in a quarrel, so their bonding and respect did not last for long. And Rowdy decided to face Morgan rather than continue her rivalry with Natalya in order to reclaim her championship.

Morgan began taking over thanks to her code breaker and some clever maneuvers. It didn’t last long, though, as Rousey used her arms lock and ropes lock to assault Morgan’s arm and cause her to end up fighting with just one arm. Morgan was obviously suffering.

Rousey attempted to use her arm again when she sensed that she was in agony. Moreover, she once again attempted to lock her arm. However, the referee immediately started the pin count as soon as her back touched the ring. Consequently, Morgan did controversially retain her title.

After that, Rousey was obviously upset with the official’s decision, and while Morgan was celebrating, she rushed from behind and began hammering Morgan’s arm once again. After this, Rousey continued and assaulted the referee’s arms as well, prompting the WWE officials to enter and save the referee from Rousey’s anger.

First-time SummerSlam performer Liv Morgan came to the ring as fans’ favorite. WWE declared Morgan as the favorite to win during the pre-show prior to the bout since she received 77 percent of the vote. However, as the bout went on, “The Baddest Woman on Planet” proceeded to completely dominate it with her attacks, and everyone believed that Rowdy might regain her championship.

Obviously, it was not the case. The finish of the bout was dramatic and controversial since Rousey’s back was on the mat when she executed the armbar to Morgan. Consequently, the referee counted but did not notice Morgan’s tapping, which led to discussion among the fans.
