WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has been at the top of the pyramid for a very long time. The Tribal Chief has earned his way up and carries the most prestigious WWE belts on his shoulders. However, while everyone knows the hate he received before, a particular moment in WWE saw him get utterly humiliated.
The WWE Universe didn’t like to see Roman Reigns win his way again and again. To de-escalate the situation, WWE tried to put him down several times while keeping him afloat over the ‘face of the company’ baseline. But, this resulted in an episode that crossed every line. In fact, there was an entire segment where he was smeared all over with dog food.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Roode recently appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast. An Instagram upload showcased a clipping from the interview wherein CVV asked Roode about the dog food incident with Reigns.
Roode said, “ I don’t know that was a Roman Reigns thing, right? He was the Big Dog at the time. WWE man. Big Dog needs dog food. That’s what we got to do.” Roode then revealed a detail that couldn’t be seen by the audience in the arena, or through TV.

Roode said “I don’t really remember a lot about it. But I do remember the dog food, and I remember it stunk. Yeah, that was when we were like Corbin’s Heaters, Dolph and I.” WWE takes great care to ensure that the wrestlers don’t get injured because of their performances. However, this decision was a very insensitive one towards Roman Reigns.

The post has received several heated comments from fans, with many who don’t like Roman Reigns also coming in his support. The management didn’t think of using a fake product or a prop to show what they wanted and resorted to actual dog food. In fact, WWE has done this many times in the past.
What the WWE management could have done
AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler were welcoming the new year 2013 by getting engaged in the ring. While the promo was going perfectly, John Cena spoiled their plans by dropping bucketloads of ‘sh*t’ on them. This, however, was a fake and safe substance. Something that could have been used for Roman Reigns as well.

Thus, while The Tribal Chief stands at the top of the food chain today, he also had to go through things WWE jobbers do. Fortunately, WWE has improved a lot with its creative approach, especially after Triple H assumed complete control. What are your thoughts on this? Let them flow in the comments.
