The Beast has been nowhere in the squared circle for a while now. But given the current development ahead of WWE Backlash, it seems the 286-lbs star is reverting to the fore real soon to take on his old foe, Cody Rhodes. Ever since the lawsuit controversy took over, Brock Lesnar‘s WWE future has been subject to severe jeopardy. WWE kept depriving him of one after another spot, including WWE 2K24, WWE Draft, etc.
However, with some recent reports suggesting WWE keeping Lesnar on hold for the Janel Grant situation to wipe out, it seems The Conqueror is not far away from his much anticipated WWE comeback.

A heavyweight like Lesnar can, in no way, sit off the focus of the pro-wrestling world for too long. Despite the controversial hiatus, fans were high on the speculation of getting The Beast back at WrestleMania Night 1 to cost Cody Rhodes the win against The Rock and Roman Reigns. Although Rhodes received a loss, the 46-year-old had no hand in that. Now, with the next PLE of the year knocking at the door, the notion of the Beasts’ return congenitally emerged in the discussion with some seasoned wrestling brains giving a green signal to it.
While predicting the Backlash card, Chris Van Vliet spoke on ‘AskCVV #29’ about when and how Lesnar could sneak in between Rhodes’ business when we least expect it. ”Brock Lesnar, if and when he ever comes back, there’s a story to be told there, especially after the match that Cody and Brock had at SummerSlam, so there’s a handful there” he noted.
Moving ahead, let’s brush up on the antics between Rhodes and Lesnar during their last encounter.

A timeline of the sharp rivalry
After the grueling WrestleMania 39 match outcome, WWE again dejected Rhodes’ soul by making Lesnar betray him completely unexpectedly. Despite getting a bit disheartened initially, Rhodes took up the challenge. After going back and forth with two matches, The American Nightmare slayed the Beast on the third night of their meeting during SummerSlam. Post the match, Lesnar shook his opponent’s hand and raised his arm in a warm sportsmanship spirit. That said, it won’t be surprising if WWE rekindles this boiling feud upon Lesnar’s return.
