Pro wrestling has specific rules and restrictions that wrestlers must abide by, making it significantly different from other sports. One such requirement is that a wrestler maintains his own unique persona. While talking about characters, The Undertaker is the first person who immediately comes to mind.

The Deadman is a noteworthy sports legend due to his persona. Notably, he became enraged and issued a stern warning to the WWE legend when he copied his illustrious character’s iconic element.

Notably, pro wrestling has its own unwritten rules that need to be followed, just like any other sport. One of the most well-known unwritten laws in pro wrestling is that no one is allowed to use the persona or any element of the character of another wrestler.

However, WWE legend Bully Ray Dudley once tried to emulate the Taker’s signature gimmick of rolling his eyes. And he recounted how The Deadman forewarned him.

Bully Ray Dudley received a warning from The Undertaker

To paint the picture, during one of the WWE matches, Dudley knocked Mae Young flying off the stage and into a table after delivering a power bomb. Moreover, Dudley was sitting there with his head crooked, staring straight ahead. It appears that he was unaware that he had broken the major rule of coping the gimmick.

The one-half of Dudley Boyz remarked the locker room leader, who was renowned for handling issues calmly, lost his cool and issued a warning to him when this came to light in 2019.

In his description of the incident, Dudley stated that Bruce Prichard had called him backstage and handed him a phone that he was unaware who was on it. However, as soon as the person remarked, “Hey kid, somebody already here does the eye roll gimmick,” he understood it was Taker.

Indeed, he apologized immediately for his significant error after understanding it. Although it’s not like wrestlers never use the moves or gimmicks of other wrestlers. But whenever they do so, they are required to get their consent beforehand.
