WWE is the biggest stage in pro-wrestling entertainment and thus, the example it sets has ripples throughout the industry. Earlier, WWE and even other wrestling federations had few matches involving women, however, with time, the number of women in wrestling increased. However, there are still problems that women face while entering the industry.

Recently, SmackDown Superstar Naomi talked about her wrestling career and much more on a podcast. She had a wonderful conversation and shared her experiences about being a wrestler. During her conversation, she talked about trying to find more time for herself on the show.

Noami is a former 2-time WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.

While talking to Jalen Rose, Naomi talked about being a part of the Samoan family. Later, she was asked that if she struggles to find her spot on the television or TV time. “I think, just in general, still trying to fight for the TV time. Getting matches that are longer than two minutes. Although you’re thankful because there’s still so many women that aren’t even getting the TV time, it’s like, ‘okay, I got two minutes.'”

“But you want more, you need more, you know what I mean? To develop those stories and those characters,” said Naomi. She talked about how more time would help her express more creatively, and put the stories across in a better manner.

“That opportunity has to be there. I realize whenever women in our industry are given that opportunity, they knock it out the park every time. But it can’t just be sporadically, it needs to be consistent. So, that’s what myself and all of us are still pushing and fighting for. Each day, each week,” she added.

Naomi takes on WWE Official Sonya Deville

The current storyline for SmackDown Superstar is in a feud with WWE Official Sonya Deville. The storyline includes Sonya Deville using her powers to keep Naomi from the spotlight.

The recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured Sonya slapping Naomi backstage. The feud between both women got to another level as Sonya steps up in the ring this week. Both women will compete against each other this week. It will be an excellent opportunity for Naomi to prove her worth and shine on the stage once again.
