The perfect atmosphere, a sizzling and emotional rivalry, and two Superstars in their primes. All of this made it maybe the best, most loved, and most appreciated bout ever.

Both the Undertaker and The Heartbreak Kid have spoken about the bout before, and both consider it to be an excellent showcase of their skills in the ring.
Until this match, the two had an amazing rapport with each other, a relationship that has been explored many times. Shawn and Mark have been open about their rocky relationship since the start of their careers.
They have also stated many times that they did not like each other in the past, during their early days in the WWE. However, their relationship in and out of the ring had grown immensely. Their superior chemistry in the ring gave us one of the most outstanding matches in Wrestlemania history.

Did Shawn Michaels take a dig at Edge and Randy Orton?
It is no secret that the Wrestlemania 25 match has been lauded as probably the best in the modern WWE. This being said, it is impossible to ignore what the WWE is planning on doing with Randy Orton and Edge in Backlash. Their matchup is being marketed as “The Greatest Match Ever” which is a large burden to bear, to say the least.
Shawn stated in the tweet – “Will we see the #GreatestWrestlingMatchEver at #WWEBacklash?” This was in the same tweet where he was reminiscing on one of his matches, which was also widely known as The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. Is the Heartbreak Kid taking a dig at Randy Orton and Edge?
Both Edge and Orton are veterans in the sport. Being under pressure to deliver ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ must be crushing. Not to mention the fact that Backlash will be taking place without all the fans in the stands.
Shawn, why would they burden Edge & Orton with this tagline? I bet they could have a good match, but now anything less than a five star MOTY classic will be seen as a disappointment. A no-win scenario.

Fans have all universally agreed that it will be highly unlikely that any future matchup will come up to the level of Wrestlemania 25.
Mania 25 was amazing. I can’t believe you had equally as good a run from 02-10 than you did in the 90s. You are the GOAT
