For over 5 decades, WWE has never seen a change in management at the topmost level. It’s none other than Stephanie McMahon, who has now stepped up to the role. Having an experience of close to 3 decades under her belt and being surrounded by wrestlers all the time, the former Women’s Champion has taken the reins of the company that her father built. And if the recent achievement is any sign, she is doing an absolutely great job at it.

Stephanie McMahon announces WWE’s 70 billion milestone

On Twitter, Stephanie McMahon announced that WWE YouTube had crossed 70 billion views collectively. She also mentioned that it was the 7th channel to achieve this milestone. One thing that has helped WWE cross this huge milestone may be the recent celebrity appearances over the WrestleMania season.

According to the view counts and the algorithm, the videos with Bad Bunny in them crossed major big names like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. And the recent contract signing of another major celebrity and YouTube personality, Logan Paul is a great move.

But one might think why is WWE, a TV program pushing for YouTube views? Well, in today’s age, people have stopped consuming TV the way they used to. We are better equipped with our Netflix or Disney+, and while WWE airs on Peacock, another streaming service, it is not that widespread. Having YouTube videos on the go is the only way WWE can reach the mass population.

While there were a lot of concerns when Vince McMahon stepped down, the same cannot be said for the turnout. The return of Brock Lesnar and the subsequent main event booking for SummerSlam may be in the plans from the start, but it has turned out pretty nice.

Besides that, signing Logan Paul to WWE for a multi-year contract may be the best thing WWE has done in a few years. The re-signing of Pat McAfee showed the confidence that WWE has for new talent. And who can deny the heat that Austin Theory is receiving anywhere he goes, just like the vicious heels before him?
