In the past year, the wrestling world has lost a lot of remarkable people who made this industry the monolith it is today. Some of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the sport died this year. Antonio Inoki, Gene LeBell, and Scott Hall were just a few of them who passed away.
Also, the death of Sara Lee, the winner of Tough Enough, also sent shockwaves through the wrestling community. But as we close this year, another bad news comes this way,

Earlier this year, in February, Dustin Rhodes tweeted about his mother’s hospitalization and urged them to pray for her. People from all over the wrestling community chimed in and sent their prayers.
But now the health of the ex-wife of Dusty Rhodes and the mother of Goldust seems to be deteriorating as he tweeted about it again.

The Rhodes family has been very influential in wrestling since the Golden era, when Dusty was throwing it down with Jake Roberts and Andre the Giant.
Then Goldust brought forth the Attitude era and shocked the system. And then, Cody Rhodes revolutionized wrestling by helping form AEW and also returning to WWE.
Dustin Rhodes already lost his father in 2015 and his brother suffered a career-threatening injury earlier this year. With his mother in critical condition, this time must be extremely difficult for Dustin, and we send our prayers for his mother’s recovery.
