The Iron Sheik maintained his heel character till his last breath

Two days before his demise, Sheik posted a tweet about Hulkamania. In his tweet, he wrote, “F**k Hogan”. Sheik and Hogan’s rivalry goes back three decades ago. In January 1984, Hulkamania beat him at Madison Square Garden and claimed his first title win.

From that moment, both the wrestling icons (babyface Hogan and heel Sheik) started growing popular among the fans. Until the last breath, Sheik held a grudge against his old nemesis. But this just shows how good of a pro wrestler he was.

He never hated Hogan in real life. The hatred and insults were all a part of his heel gimmick. Even outside the ring while being off-screen, he rarely broke his on-screen character. Indeed, hats off to his dedication to pro wrestling. It impressed the WWE Universe quite very much to see the late legend maintaining his character till his last breath.
